D'AMOUR PUTS DESIRE IN STREETCAR AT SMT
Seaside Music Theater gives you one more reason to buy a ticket to see the company's production of Tennessee Williams' explosive drama, A Streetcar Named Desire, which will run October 25 - November 11: Todd D'Amour.
D'Amour will play one of the most well-known characters of the stage and screen, Stanley Kowalski, whose drunken, desperate screams for, "Stella!" have echoed through thousands of theatrical productions, one major motion picture, two made-for-TV movies, one opera adaptation, and even a one-man show called Stanley, developed by D'Amour and his sister, Lisa, in NYC.Called "arguably the most accomplished theatrical event of the Off-Broadway season," by Show Business Weekley, D'Amour's Stanley unleashes a man who thinks he's Stanley Kowalski into the year 2006, where he wanders the streets of America searching for Blanche Dubois. SMT's production, directed by Lester Malizia, provides for Mr. D'Amour other fine actors to play with, including Nicole Halmos as Blanche DuBois, Jennifer Semrick as Stella Kowalski, and Derrick Peterson as Mitch.FALL IN LOVE TODAY!
