Special Engagenment

Florida Repertory Theatre   announced a one-night only special engagement. On Sunday, April 5 at 7pm, the Rep's Associate Artistic Director, Chris Clavelli, will give a reading of his original play, A Little More than You Wanted to Spend.

Written and performed by Clavelli, it is a one-man tour de force where he takes audiences on his journey of loss, transformation and renewal

"We're extremely lucky to have Clavelli with us this season," said Producing Artistic Director, Robert Cacioppo. "He's been a member of the Rep family for years, and his work is consistently stunning."

Clavelli's work as both an actor and director has been seen regularly at the Arcade Theatre for a number of seasons. He is appearing now in Art of Murder, and was seen earlier this season in Born Yesterday, Indian Blood and Dancing at Lughnasa. His directing credits at the Rep include Alone Together, The Glass Menagerie, Almost Maine, Rounding Third and Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks. Clavelli makes his home in New York City, and continues to work as both an actor and director with theatres across the country.

A Little More than You Wanted to Spend shows us how one man copes with tragic events, and what happens when that man is suddenly stripped of his identity as a husband and father. In a play that harkens back to the work of Spaulding Grey, Clavelli will take the stage for only one compelling and harrowing evening.

A Little More Than you Wanted to Spend will be performed on Sunday, April 5th at 7pm at the Historic Arcade Theatre. Tickets are $20, and available through the box office at 239-332-4488 or online at www.floridarep.org. Contains adult language.

Florida Repertory Theatre is located on Bay Street between Jackson and Hendry in the Historic Arcade Theatre in the Fort Myers River District.
