"A Christmas Carol"

AT THE ATLANTIC THEATER IN JUPITER

THE CHARLES DICKENS CLASSIC RETURNS

FOR THE FOURTH YEAR: DECEMBER 21ST – 23RD

The Atlantic Theater is pleased to bring back Charles Dickens' classic holiday tale, "A Christmas Carol" for a fourth holiday season.  The classic tale is of an embittered and greedy Ebenezer Scrooge who realizes, through the redeeming visits of three spirits, that a meaningful life is filled with generosity, compassion, and love shared with family and friends.  The play dates are on Friday December 21 at 8pm, Saturday December 22nd at 3pm and 8pm and Sunday December 23rd at 2pm.

Ebenezer Scrooge learns the meaning of Christmas after four ghosts guide him through his emotionally charged past, loveless present, and his bleak future.  The vision of his own realization that no one will mourn his death force Scrooge out of his "Bah Humbug" ways and give him a renewed outlook towards humanity.

This will mark the fourth year that this theater has presented "A Christmas Carol", as the play was the first ever presented in the inaugural season in 2003 and has been a hit with their audiences ever since.

Appearing as Ebeneezer Scrooge will be Frank Licari, a stage veteran of New York theater for over 10 years, and a former member of the Obie award winning Blue Man Group.  The professional cast is rounded out by the Atlantic Theater's performance company, along with special guests, the Atlantic Arts Acting Company, appearing as the children in the play. The play also contains spirited dance numbers presented by The Atlantic Dance Theater to highlight Scrooge's dreams, as well as carols sung by Atlantic Arts Musical Theater group.

Tickets for the show are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors and students.  Tickets can be ordered by calling the Atlantic Theater box office at 561-575-4942.  To learn more about the Atlantic Theater, please visit the website at www.theatlantictheater.com or to learn more about Atlantic Arts Academy visit www.atlanticartsacademy.com
