Award-winning Mosaic Theatre proudly presents the third show of its
fifth anniversary season, the Florida premiere of 2.5 Minute Ride,
by Lisa Kron.  Originally scheduled to produce The Left Hand Singing
in this time slot, Executive/Artistic Director Richard Jay Simon is
excited to bring such a funny, touching, and profoundly moving
journey to South Florida for the first time.

2.5 Minute Ride invites audiences on a roller coaster ride through
the eyes of Lisa Kron, a Jewish girl who grew up in the Midwest. 
What emerges is an autobiographical, captivating journey through the
Kron family album, from Auschwitz to an amusement park.  This award
winning play is an emotional, comedic tour de force with an
extraordinary family who in spite of everything -- or because of
everything -- are willfully and absurdly bound together.

2.5 Minute Ride has received an Obie Award, Drama Desk and Outer
Circle Critics nominations, and L.A. Dramalogue Award, the GLAAD
award for Best Off-Broadway Play.

Directed by Guest Director, Gail Garrisan, Mosaic is honored to
feature Award Winning actress Barbara Sloan who was last seen in
Mosaic's Death Defying Acts.  The production staff includes Paul
Mazer (Set Design), Carbonell Award Winner Jeff Quinn (Lighting
Design), Curtain Up Award Winner Estela Vrancovich (Costume Design),
Natan Samuels (Sound Designer) and Betsy-Paull Rick (Production
Stage Manager).
