Coming direct from New York into the very heart of downtown Miami, four of Broadway's most spectacular musical hits have been announced for the inaugural 2006-2007 five-production subscription season of Broadway Across America-Miami at Miami Performing Arts Center.

Scheduled to bow on September 26, 2006, the season will be presented for the first time in the 2,400-seat Sanford and Dolores Ziff Ballet Opera House, one of the three state-of-the-art theaters that, together with an education center, an expansive outdoor plaza, and a restored 1929 Art Deco tower, make the new Miami Performing Arts Center one of the largest performing arts centers in the U.S. and South Florida's premier entertainment venue.

Solid hits winning acclaim from critics and audiences, THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA, DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS, Chita Rivera: THE DANCER'S LIFE, and WICKED will set the stage for the season. A fifth show, still to be announced, will round out the 2006-2007 season.
