Kathie and the hippo is authored by writer and prize Nobel of literature 2010, Mario Vargas Llosa.
It was born to the stage for the first time on April 26, 1983 in the Teatro Ana Julia Rojas, Caracas, Venezuela.
Twenty years later, he returned to stage the story of Kathie, a wealthy woman who decides to capture their experiences raised in the continents of Asia and Africa in a book. For such a project, contract she shares a University Professor's name Santiago Zavala, who transcribed the stories that periodically.
Implementation takes place in the midst of memories and reflections that elevate the imagination toward stories that never had an outcome or situations that did not exist.
In the framework of the international fair of the book 2013, Teatro Diana will receive the adaptation of Magui Mira (recognized as one of the great figures of Spanish Theatre), responsible for directing performances by Ana Belén and Ginés García Millán.
