Gala de Danza's spectacular 5 Year Anniversary celebration at architectural wonder Mar Adentro Hotel did not disappoint. This event created a global amphitheater with the hotel serving as intimate viewing boxes for the guests while the artists performed on a stage floating over water. Arts impresario and founder of Gala de Danza Christina Lyon and visionary architect Miguel Aragonés collaborated together to create one of the most unique events in the world. "Mar Adentro has served as a canvas where we can create beautiful artistry in an extraordinary place", stated Lyon. "Miguel and I are simpatico with our mission of seeing the arts and music flourish in Los Cabos."

Gala de Danza is the creme de la creme of some of the finest artists in the world. No less spectacular were the enormous wall projections and video mapping from Quixotic Fusion that showcased the live event on the walls of Mar Adentro Hotel.

"There are more stars on our stage than in the Mexican sky," exclaims Lyon. Memorable performances include Mariinsky ballerina, Ekaterina Kondaurova, and hip hop legend Lil Buck. GQ's musician of the year, Jorge Viladoms, played a poetically beautiful rendition of Clair de Lune and danced brilliantly by Daniel Ulbricht, Principal Dancer of the New York City Ballet. The Gala closed with Mexican tenor David Lomelí; and four rising young stars of the dance world Juliette Bosco, Taro Kurachi, Tate McRae and Sophia Lucia.

A percentage of the proceeds of the event go to Danza que da Esperanza, which gives scholarships to seventeen local children presently, who receive free academics and dance training. It gives children whom come from impoverished areas and vulnerable situations hope and inspiration. Gala de Danza is a force majeur in the culture arts scene as Christina Lyon sets a new trend in performance, travel and luxury lifestyle.
