About the Theatre

LoneTree Live is a theatre company in Memphis, TN. Originally called Lone Tree Theatre Project started in Omaha, Neb. in 2011. It was created to be the producing entity for Julia Hinson’s MA graduate final project for which she adapted Willa Cather’s "Eric Hermannson’s Soul." She toured it to fringe festivals including the Edinburgh Festival in Scotland. Since that time, LoneTree Live has produced work all over the world including at the Po Saule Festival in Lithuania, KC Fringe, Edinburgh Fringe, Three Branch Festival in London and locally in Omaha, and Memphis.

LoneTree Live has been part of the theatre company family at TheatreWorks Memphis since 2017 and in 2023, Julia invited a Board of Directors to join her as LoneTree Live became a 501(c)(3). The company produces scripted plays, creates new and devised work, and offers classes.

Mission: LoneTree Live pushes the boundaries of theatre through the creative use of the body, voice, imagination and technology. ​
