Emerald Theatre Company closes their 27th Season with an evening of fascinating, heart-aching, side splitting and salacious storytelling. Meet the residents of Western Park, TN. A small tucked away town where residents dare not throw stones…for fear of breaking too much glass. Everybody here has a story—or two—to tell. Some talk of respect, dignity, despair and regret, and there are many. There are also tales of celebration, family, and success too. Written by the late Howell Pearre, a well-known member of the Memphis theater community, these short monologues, two-character vignettes and one enthusiastic and intense ending reflect the compassion and grit of Spoon River Anthology peppered with the sarcasm, dry wit and salaciousness that Howell was known for in his many works written for the stage.
Emerald Theatre Company is at 2085 Monroe Ave, Memphis, TN.
