This psycho-thriller takes place in a seedy motel room. The story follows cocktail waitress Agnes, her violent ex-con ex-husband Jerry Goss from whom she is hiding, and her lesbian biker friend R.C. who introduces her to (possible AWOL Gulf War veteran) Peter. Agnes gets involved with Peter, who begins to rant about the war in Iraq, UFOs, the Oklahoma City bombings, cult suicides, and secret government experiments on soldiers. But where is the line between legitimate fear and neurotic (or psychotic) paranoia? A powerful play, Bug is a crescendo of mushrooming paranoia, a dramatic inquiry into the boundaries of sensible response and irrational madness.
