The Circle Playhouse will present Noel Coward's PRESENT LAUGHTER from April 20th through May 13th, directed by Robert Hetherington.
An aging, popular, and pampered actor has to placate both his long-suffering secretary and his estranged wife, cope with a crazed young playwright, deal with women who want to seduce him, overcome his fear of middle-age and, by implication, his impending mid-life crisis all while he prepares to leave for a touring commitment overseas in this comedy The New York Times calls, “sharp, withering, and funny.”
Present Laughter is directed by Robert Hetherington and features Jerre Dye(Compleat Female Stage Beauty), with Playhouse on the Square Resident Company Members Irene Crist and Dave Landis, and Associate Company Members Sarah Hoch (Spring Awakening) and Kelsey Hopkins (Next to Normal). Also featured: Jeanna Juleson (Hats!), Claire Hayner (The Full Monty), Josh Quinn (In the Next Room, or the Vibrator Play), StanDrew Parker (The Drowsy Chaperone), Brent Davis, and Jo Lynne Palmer (Humble Boy).
Present Laughter runs April 20 – May 13 at The Circuit Playhouse, Thursdays – Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm. The Pay-What-You-Can performance is Thursday, April 26th.
