Links Night has been announced at The Orpheum. The Shelby County Chapter is coming to see the 2010 Tony Award-winning MEMPHIS, the Musical as part of the chapter's fundraising effort.

The Shelby County Chapter is part of the national organization of The Links, Incorporated, which is an international, non-profit corporation, established in 1946. It is one of the nation's oldest and largest volunteer service organization of extraordinary women who are committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry.

BACKGROUND: The Shelby County Chapter, The Links, Inc. was established in 1985 as the second local chapter in Memphis, Tennessee. Today, there are three local chapters, with the other two being The Memphis Chapter and The River City Chapter. The Shelby County Chapter membership is comprised of service oriented professional women who are physicians, educators, attorneys, entrepreneurs, business and medical administrators, executives and community volunteers. The membership is actively involved in many service facets of community life and participates in numerous civic and social organizations.
