FATHER OF THE BRIDE is the timeless comedic, yet poignant story of the Banks family's preparations for their daughter Kay's wedding. Most everyone is familiar with the modern version starring Steve Martin and Diane Keaton. The original movie stars Spencer Tracy and ElizaBeth Taylor and takes place in the 1950s, as does Pull-Tight's production.

When plans for a small, intimate wedding and reception progress to the social event of the year complete with a long wedding list, caterer, florist, furniture movers, etc., a frazzled Kay calls off the wedding. However, in the end, Mr. Banks sends a happy Kay down the altar to Buckley, her adoring groom. "All's well that ends well."

The cast stars Ryan Arthur as Mr. Banks, Jennifer Lowry as Mrs. Banks, Rachel Craig as Kay, Lee Daniel as Buckley, Ryan Brennan as Ben, Adam Binford as Tommy, Dresden Leebron as Peggy, Maureen Hawks as Miss Bellamy, Megan Sturm as Miss Massoula, Meredith Locke as Delilah, Mary ElLen Stevens as Mrs. Pulitski, Becky Dodson as Jo, Austin Lynch as Buzz and Pete, and Melissa Hall as the Florist.

The creative team consists of Alan Mancuso, Director; Cathie Correia Stamps, Producer; Peggy Macpherson, Stage Manager; Tanner Tuttle, Assistant Stage Manager; Wesley Fox, Props Master/Set Dressing; Karen Seezen, Costume Mistress; Jeanne Drone, Photographer/Lobby Display; Gabe Suico, Light Design; Carol Brown, Light Execution; Steve Stamps, Set Construction Chief; Roz Highfill, Door Coordinator, Iain Macpherson, House Manager/Set Construction; and Chris Dillard, Set Construction.

Performance dates are June 4-5, 10-13, and 18-19. All performances are at 7:30pm, except for the Sunday matinee performance which is at 2:30pm. Doors open 30 minutes prior to curtain time. Tickets may be purchased beginning May 24. Ticket prices are $16 for adults, $14 for seniors (60 and up), and $12 for students through high school and may be purchased online through our web site. Tickets may also be purchased by phoning (615) 791-5007 Tuesday through Friday between 10am and 4pm and charging to Visa or MasterCard.
