Playhouse on the Square's Solstice Party to Benefit Overton Park Conservancy, 6/21

Playhouse on the Square will honor Overton Park Conservancy with its next Four Seasons party on Friday, June 21st from5:30 pm - 6:30pm. The Four Seasons Cocktail Series is a set of free happy-hour events that coincide with each equinox and solstice. A different non-profit organization is honored at each event and guests are invited to learn about and support the honoree's mission while enjoying complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a signature cocktail. Donations to Overton Park Conservancy are encouraged at the June 21st party, which will be held on the rooftop of Playhouse on the Square (66 S. Cooper Street), weather permitting.

Representatives of Overton Park Conservancy will be on hand with information about upcoming capital projects, including a new bicycle and pedestrian plaza and a trail that connects the park to the Shelby Farms Greenline. The organization will also offer park memberships to bolster operational funding that keeps the park clean and maintained.

Playhouse on the Square will offer guided tours of its facility, which will include areas that the public cannot normally access. Guests are also invited to stay and attend the Opening Night performance of the musical The Color Purple at 8pm.
