Playhouse on the Square to Conclude 2015-16 Season with MOON VINE

The final show in the Playhouse on the Square 2015/2016 season is the World Premiere Production of Moon Vine at TheatreWorks! This dramatic and beautifully lyrical play centers around Sele who is facing financial hardship, family separation, and changes that put her place in this world at risk. In a Southern gothic tale come to life, Moon Vine introduces us to family members on a Delta farm slowly withering away as they try to cope with the past, present, and uncertain future. Moon Vine is a winner of the 2014 NewWorks@TheWorks Playwriting competition and is written by Memphian Teri K. Feigelson.

Moon Vine features Bekka Koch, making her Playhouse on the Square debut, as Eva Selene Bryne "Sele," Associate Company Member Dane Van Brocklin (Peter and the Starcatcher; American Idiot) as Huck Bryne "H," Curtis C. (Memphis the Musical; The Gospel at Colonus) as Elijah "Eli," Karin Barile (Mountain View; We Live Here) as Ida May Apple, and Michael J. Vails (Mountain View; Memphis the Musical) as Sheriff L.D. Tizzle. Moon Vine is directed by Ken Zimmerman who most recently directed Pageant at The Circuit Playhouse.
