Playhouse on the Square presents MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET

Million Dollar Quartet is coming home! Bringing to life one of the most iconic moments in Memphis music history, Million Dollar Quartet takes place on aTuesday night shortly before Christmas in 1956. Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, and Carl Perkins have gathered together at Sun Studio for the first and only time. Million Dollar Quartet gives you a front row seat to their only performance, a cultural flash point that caught rock-n-roll at the moment of creation.

Tackling the roles of the Godfathers of Rock n' Roll are guest artists Kavan Hashemian as Elvis Presley and Stephen Hardy as Johnny Cash. Both Hashemian and Hardy will be making their Playhouse on the Square debuts in Million Dollar Quartet. Joining them to round out the quartet is Associate Company Member Nathan McHenry (Memphis; American Idiot) as Jerry Lee Lewis and Isaac Middleton as Carl Perkins. This stellar ensemble cast is rounded out by Associate Company Member Kathryn Kilger (Rock of Ages; Sisters of Swing) as Dyanne, Stephen Garrett (Rock of Ages; Zombies from the Beyond) as Sam Phillips, Neal Endermann as Brother Jay, and Music Director Thomas Bergstig as Fluke. Million Dollar Quartet is directed by Playhouse on the Square Resident Company Member Michael Detroit (Sisters of Swing; A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline).
