Playhouse on the Square, in partnership with FedEx, Macy's, and super sponsor Dr. Thomas Ratliff, bring this Memphis holiday tradition back to the Playhouse on the Square stage.
Life will never be the same for Michael, John, and Wendy Darling after Peter Pan visits their nursery window offering to take them to the magical world of Neverland. They meet the Lost Boys, spritely fairy Tinkerbell, the beautiful princess Tiger Lily, and the evil Captain Hook. The conflict between Peter and Hook takes center stage as the magical adventure turns dangerous and teaches everyone the true power of friendship.
Resident Company member Courtney Oliver (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, James and the Giant Peach) returns as director. Premiering as Wendy Darling and Tigerlily are Associate Company Members Kelly McCarty (Little Women: The Broadway Musical) and Michaela Tramuta (Little Women: The Broadway Musical). Appearing for the first time as Captain Hook, is second year Associate Company Member Danny Crowe (A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, The Perfect Arrangement). Sharing the role of Hook, will be Resident Company Member Nathan McHenry (Memphis, Million Dollar Quartet). Returning to the air as Peter Pan, are Caroline Simpson (Hairspray) and Resident Company Member Brooke Papritz (Little Women: The Broadway Musical, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder). The production also consists of community actors from across Memphis and the Mid-South.
Performances will run Friday - Sunday with a 2:00 pm curtain. Matinee performances for groups are also available. For tickets, call the Box Office at (901) 726-4656 or visit our website www.playhouseonthesquare.org.
