The 42nd Season of Playhouse on the Square opens with the comedy How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Before there was "Mad Men," there was this Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical where power, sex, ambition, and greed are all in a day's work at the office. J. Pierrepont Finch, a young window washer, climbs the corporate ladder with the help of his trusty manual. But when the boss's arrogant nephew attacks, and the book doesn't have the answer, Finch will have to depend on his own wit and creativity to survive.
How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying is directed by Kimberly Hickman making her Memphis debut and features Jordan Nichols (Crazy for You at Theatre Memphis) as "Finch", Ken Zimmerman ("Edna", Hairspray), and Associate Company Member Andrea Rouch (Footloose) as "Rosemary." Also featured are Carla McDonald, Irene Crist, David P. Foster, and Dave Landis.
How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying runs August 12 - September 4 at Playhouse on the Square Thursdays through Saturdays at 8 pm and Sundays at 2 pm. The Pay-What-You-Can performance is on Thursday, August 18th.
Playhouse on the Square is located at 66 S. Cooper Street in Midtown. For more information or to make reservations, please call 901-726-4656 or go online to playhouseonthesquare.org.
