Sarah Ruhl's drama/comedy, set in the 19th century at the dawn of the age of electricity, is about an unusual new therapy to treat "hysterical" women. When a doctor introduces this new technology to his lonely patients and into his own marriage, it unravels everything the moral middle-class thought it knew about female sexuality. A 2010 Finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for drama and Tony Award nominee for Best Play.
