Today, the Halloran Centre at the Orpheum revealed the lineup for the second annual On Stage at the Halloran Centre music series. Beginning in September and running through April 2018, 10 artists will take the stage in the intimate 361-seat theatre. These multi-talented solo, duo, and ensemble acts represent more than eight different genres, providing something for every music lover.
"Our inaugural music series set the bar high," said Ron Jewell, Vice President of Halloran Centre Operations. "The artists for the 2017-18 series are diverse and electrifying and represent some of the best talent in the business."
This year's series opens with A Tribute to the Women of Soul by Memphis music royalty Vaneese Thomas with special guest Carla Thomas. Eagles cowriter JD Souther, piano-playing pop heartbreaker Peter Cincotti, and country legend Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives close out 2017. The new year kicks off with Nashville-based rock n roll duo Muddy Magnolias and continues with Hamilton star Mandy Gonzalez, a cappella group Naturally 7, multi-instrumentalist singer songwriter Raul Midón, Sam Bush - the Father of Newgrass- and closes out with Jim Witter's Fire & Rain in a special celebration of the era of James Taylor and Carole King.
