Writing poem is almost exclusively taken as serious in terms of its tone and content. Unlike most poet, Jia Ya’s poem is funny and written in sarcastic remarks. But like most of the poet too, he shoulder his responsibility to reveal the dark nuance of our society. Because director Choong Seong Wei and choreographer Pexstreet Liu decide to translate this into an experimental theatre, we are able to reaffirm that life is not just dull. Its also a box full of chocolate.
