theatrethreesixty Celebrates 10th Anniversary of THE EDGE

theatrethreesixty is proud to present the tenth anniversary production of Nick Choo's Boh-Cameronian award winning musical, THE EDGE. It is set to premiere on the 8th of December 2018, running 12 shows till the 23rd of December 2018 at Lot'ng Arts Space, Subang Jaya, Selangor.

Winner of the 2014 Boh Cameronian Arts Award for best Original Score and Musical Direction, Nick Choo's THE EDGE returns to Malaysian shores a er having a well received restaging in Perth, Australia earlier this year. Directed by Christopher Ling, artistic director of theatrethreesixty, THE EDGE stars Tria Aziz, Michael Chen, Michelle Tan, Kai Chalmers, Iz Sulaini, and Ping Khoo with musical direction by Dominic Lucien Luk and movement direction by by Kenny Shim.

Josh is a brother, a lover, a rascal, a drifter. His friends are jealous of his idyllic lifestyle. Yet the cracks in all their perfect lives fracture the strongest of bonds. Lily, his long su ering mother struggles with betrayal - Jarod, his brother expects more than what he can give him - he's dri ing alone, yet surrounded by his closest loved ones. As friends and family reach out to help him, what is the ultimate cost to save his life?

THE EDGE explores the heavier themes of life, on the butter y e ect of our relationships through its tightly woven web of characters, each with their own story. It interrogates the way our desires have profound impacts on the way we interact with each other, and the high cost of our choices made in the tensest of moments. A truly relatable cast of characters, songs both intimate, raw and sometimes hilarious - all come together to create a remarkable experience that will speak to everyone.

Winner of the BOH Cameronian Arts Award for Musical Theatre (Direction) in 2010, director Christopher Ling adds, " is happens to be my first musical in 5 years as a director and a first for theatrethreesixty. I can't think of a better mix of people to form my cast - with new members of our cast working with Michael Chen and Tria Aziz who are coming back to reprise their roles. It really does come together to make a more re ned, even more compelling production than ever before."

theatrethreesixty presents Nick Choo's THE EDGE, to be staged at Lot'ng Arts Space in USJ Taipan, from December 8th, 12th to 15th and 19th to 22nd at 8.45pm, and the 9th, 6th and 23rd at 3pm. Ticket prices are 58MYR. Concession prices are available for students and senior citizens at 48MYR. Mid Week Special ticket rate for Dec 12th & 19th shows at at rate of 48MYR per ticket.
