TheatreWorks to Present LIFT: LOVE IS THE FLOWER THE in Singapore, 17-21 Sept.

TheatreWorks is proud to present LIFT: Love Is Flower The, conceived and directed by Jeff Chen, in collaboration with Jean Ng, Loo Zihan, Noorlinah Mohamed, Nora Samosir and Peter Sau at 72-13 Mohamed Sultan Road inSingapore, from 17 - 21 September 2013 at 8pm.

LIFT: Love Is Flower The is a play which incorporates various genres of performances from realism, absurdism to satire. It also works with a cast of five professional performers and 100 non-performers, as well as a team of established lighting and sound designers. LIFT: Love Is Flower The is set to open with a bang and end the night with questions, thoughts, excitement and hopefully, happiness.

LIFT: Love Is Flower The consists of fragments of short scenes. Each fragment depicts the sometimes funny, often absurd, vulnerable and yet inspirational and courageous everyday efforts of achieving, sustaining and making sense of happiness in our lives.

What would you find by looking through a prism of life? Would there be answers to the perennial questions of love, hope and, ultimately, happiness? LIFT: Love Is Flower The is a meditation on some of the mundane and yet quirkily absurd road to happiness. From the everyday notion of beauty, the personal and private means of achieving bodily pleasures, to fetuses, births and babies, to politicising well-being, and the release in death, LIFT: Love Is Flower The treks the paths to happiness.
