The Goodmans seem like a perfect family. The only problem is that sometimes mom seems, well...a little too happy. The story centers upon the stop/start life of a bipolar mother as she rides the sharp edge between coping and insanity. Next to Normal is a remarkable, thrilling powerhouse of a musical full of humor and compassion. Winner of 3 Tony Awards including Best Score in 2010 and the Pulitzer Prize for drama in 2009, this emotional tour de force features provocative lyrics and an electrifying score.
