True North Theatre announces their spring 2023 production, Circle Mirror Transformation by Annie Baker and directed by Tellis K. Coolong.
When four spiritually lost New Englanders who enroll in Marty Kreisberg’s six-week-long community-center drama class begin to experiment with harmless games, hearts are quietly torn apart, and tiny wars of epic proportions are waged and won. A beautifully crafted diorama, a petri dish in which we see, with hilarious detail and clarity, the antic sadness of a motley quintet. Circle Mirror Transformation won the Obie Award for Best New American Play (2010).
Circle Mirror Transformation is generously sponsored by The Rock Team at ERA DAWSON BRADFORD and Griffin & Jordan, Attorneys at Law.
Performances will be held June 2-4 and June 9-11, with Friday and Saturday shows at 7:00pm and Sunday matinees at 2:00pm. Performances will be held at the Cyrus Pavilion Theatre, 6 Sebago Road on the UMaine campus in Orono.
Tickets are $15 and are available online at 207tix.com/organizations/true-north-theatre. Tickets will also be available at the door (cash and debit/credit card accepted).
