Tickets to HEATHERS at Portland Stage Company Now on Sale

You may want to choose who you sit with at lunch a little more carefully this summer; the meanest girls in Ohio are coming to Portland.

Cast Aside Productions presents the Maine Premiere of HEATHERS the Musical, based on the classic 1989 film with a 2014 Drama Desk Nominated score by Laurence O'Keefe (Legally Blonde, Bat Boy) and Kevin Murphy (Reefer Madness!).

HEATHERS centers itself in the microcosm of Westerberg High, where the Heathers rule the school with an iron, well-manicured fist. But when misfit Veronica Sawyer upgrades to their status and then rejects their regime for a new boyfriend, the dark and sexy J.D. plans to turn his new school upside-down.

This high energy, pop-rock musical features Abigail Ackley as Veronica, Megan Irene Malloy, Cate DeMeule and Hannah Elaine Perry as the Heathers, Michael Jenkins as JD, Kelly Mosher as Martha Dunstock, Will Weeks as Kurt, and Ryan A. Walker as Ram. The cast also includes Anna Gravel, Bruce Lancaster, Alan McLucas, Samuel Allen, Jacob Sutherland, Kyle Aarons, Holly Hinchliffe, Jennifer Kennedy, Jenna Guiggey, Bailey Auspland, Leslie Reed, Brooke Cottrell, and Irene Schultz.

The Cast Aside Productions creative team includes direction by David Surkin, direction/choreography by Celeste! Green, music direction by Rebekkah Willey, and production management by Brianna Marie Wing. Willey also leads and plays in the band, with Bill Manning on percussion, Wade Johnston on guitar, Jon Blake on bass, and Sean Potter on woodwinds.

Heathers the Musical runs four performances only: July 14-17 on the main stage of Portland Stage Company (25 Forest Avenue, Portland, ME).
