Woody Allen's sharp-edged musical farce BULLETS OVER BROADWAY comes to the Barn Theatre August 14 - 26!

Based on the screenplay of the acclaimed 1994 film by Woody Allen and Douglas McGrath, this six-time Tony-nominated musical features exciting, hilarious hits from the 1920s.

This side-splitting musical comedy about the making of a Broadway show, is filled with tap dancing gangsters, saucy showgirls, big laughs and colorful characters. A young playwright (portrayed by first year apprentice Miguel Ragel Wilson) who is in desperate need of financial backing for his next show accepts an offer he can't refuse from a gangster (Charlie King) looking to please his ditzy, talentless girlfriend (Melissa Cotton Hunter). Throw in an "aging diva" (Penelope Alex), a savant hit-man (Jonnie Carpathios) and a bevy of beautiful chorus girls, and this is one Broadway show that is sure to knock 'em dead. Rounding out the cast are Barn favorites Patrick Hunter as Warner Purcell, John Jay Espino as Julian Marx, and Jamey Grisham as the Train Conductor. Also featured are first year apprentice Rachel Zack as Ellen and second year apprentice Gabi Shook as Eden Brent.

BULLETS OVER BROADWAY is a love letter to the Golden Age of Broadway, filled with unforgettable songs including "Let's Misbehave," "Tain't Nobody's Biz-ness If I Do" and "There's a New Day Comin'!" This show brings musical comedy back with a bang and is best enjoyed by adults. (Language, adult situations)
