Penobscot Theatre Company will ring in the new year with a sizzling show that harkens back to the glory days of Gypsy Rose Lee and evokes the glamour of a bygone era. It's Too Darn Hot: A Vintage Burlesque Extravaganza will be at the historic Bangor Opera House for two performances only, December 31, at 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm.

"New Year's Eve should be sparkly and exciting!" said Producing Artistic Director Bari Newport. "We're eager to introduce the community to these tremendously talented performers, part of a time-honored American art form celebrating femininity and sensuality."

Produced by an all-female team and presented with a healthy dose of cheeky humor, this sophisticated show features four award-winning burlesque artists from New York City: ULA UBERBUSEN, star of NYC's Victrola Burlesque, producer of Twirly Whirly Burly-Q, and the 2015 winner of "Most Original Act" at the Oklahoma City Burlesque Festival; DARLINDA JUST DARLINDA, Brooklyn Nightlife Award Winner for Best Burlesque Dancer, voted Top 50 International Burlesque Industry Figures of 2011 and 2012; Fancy Feast, Miss Coney Island 2016, Miss Bushwick Burlesque 2014, and recipient of the Judges' Choice Award for Most Classic at the Alternatease Festival 2014; and Pearls Daily, member of Perle Noire's House of Noire and producer of Pearls and Bo's.
