Portland Ovations brings the culinary arts to Merrill Auditorium with Good vs. Evil: An Evening with Anthony Bourdain and Eric Ripert on Thursday, November 3rd at 7:30pm.
The evening consists of the outspoken and opinionated
Anthony Bourdain and the reserved
Eric Ripert offering up frank and provocative insight into what really goes on behind the kitchen doors, musing on the place of food in our personal, community and global life and taking questions from the audience.
Bourdain, chef, author and host of the Travel Channel's "No Reservations" tells it like it is and holds nothing back when talking about food, celebrity chefs, music and much more. His books Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly, A Cook's Tour and The Nasty Bits were all New York Times best sellers and in 2010 he released his latest Medium Raw: A Bloody Valentine to the World of Food and the People Who Cook a sequel to Kitchen Confidential.
Ripert, renowned chef of New York's Le Bernadin restaurant, author of Avec Eric: A Culinary Journey with
Eric Ripert and a television personality is refined and quite the polar opposite of
Anthony Bourdain. He has made several appearances on Bravo's "Top Chef," played himself in the HBO series "Treme" and recently won a Daytime Entertainment Emmy Award in the "Outstanding Culinary Program" category for his PBS series "Avec Eric."

Anthony Bourdain and
Eric Ripert range from $45 to $55. Good vs. Evil is sponsored by The Portland Phoenix and Grace Restaurant. To purchase tickets, contact PortTix at 207-842-0800 or visit the box office window at Merrill Auditorium. Tickets are also available online at
