The National Performance Network, an invitational network of only 65 performing arts presenters from across the country that are dedicated to touring work with deep community connections, officially selected Portland Ovations to become a partner.

Portland Ovations was selected through the Network's highly competitive process that narrowed down 71 organizations nominated to 33 and finally only selected 5 organizations nationally to join this year. "We are incredibly honored to be among the organizations to be selected to join the National Performance Network. We have the utmost respect for the work done by the organization and its' partners and look forward to the exciting arts opportunities this partnership presents our community. We are thrilled by what the future holds because of participation in the National Performance Network," explains Aimée M. Petrin, Executive Director of Portland Ovations.

Founded in 1985, the National Performance Network tackles artistic isolation and the economic restraints that constricts the flow of creative ideas within and among communities, independent artists, and locally engaged arts organizations in the United States. Supporting over 500 artists every year, many of the projects touring through the NPN take on issues of contemporary social relevance and diversity. The Network's resources will be used by Portland Ovations to gain access to emerging artists and projects, lead and/or participate in co-commissions of new works, provide subsidy for the many residencies they host each season and help them continue presenting the performing arts with integrity, sensitivity and equity.

Portland Ovations will announce its' upcoming 2012-13 season in early June and tickets to all performances will go on-sale to Members first at that time and then to the general public in the middle of June. If you want to get first "dibs" on tickets, Membership for Portland Ovations, the non-profit performing arts presenter starts at a $40 donation.
