Photo Flash: Promo Shots for Maine State Music Theatre's MARY POPPINS, Begin. 8/7

Maine State Music Theatre brings the 55th season of professional musical theater to a close with Cameron Mackintosh and Disney's family favorite, Mary Poppins, which flies into the Pickard Theater August 7. Check out a first look at the cast below!

With a book by Julian Fellowes, Mary Poppins features the film's familiar music and lyrics by the Academy Award winning Sherman Brothers, along with additional music and lyrics by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe.

Maine State Music Theatre welcomes back Director and Choreographer, Marc Robin, Jason Wetzel as Musical Director and Charles Kading as set designer. Robin's work as a Director and Choreographer were seen earlier this season with Dreamgirls and Les Miserables, Wetzel returns for his seventh season and Kading celebrates 23 seasons with Mary Poppins.

Lauren Blackman, last seen at MSMT in Legally Blonde and Sunset Boulevard, plays Mary Poppins. Tyler Hanes, who starred in last season's 42nd Street, plays Bert. Jeff Coon and Heidi Kittenring as Mr. and Mrs. Banks, and Sophie Calerwood and Alec Shiman as Jane and Michael Banks star as the family under Mary Poppins tutelage. MSMT favorites Charis Leos, Sue Cella, David Girolmo and Chuck Ragsdale are featured in supporting roles throughout the show.

The young and young-at-heart will leave the theater singing such songs as Chim Chim Cher-ee, A Spoonful of Sugar, Feed the Birds and Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. Mary Poppins is filled with spectacular dancing led by Blackman, Hanes, Buddy Reader and a multi-talented cast of 23 from all over the country.

Mary Poppins previews on August 7th and runs until August 24th.
