Penobscot Theatre Company's OLIVER! Tickets On Sale October 3rd

On Monday, October 3, Penobscot Theatre Company will make tickets toOliver!, its much anticipated holiday show, available to the general public. The musical by Lionel Bart will run December 1-24 at the Bangor Opera House in downtown Bangor. Previously offered at a discount to subscribers alone, the tickets will be open for purchase through the box office or the theatre's website, regularly priced at $38 for adults and $15 for students. General adult admission to the preview performances December 1 and 2 will be $25 and $27 respectively.

"Oliver! has delighted audiences worldwide for generations with larger-than-life characters and songs that grab your heart and make your spirit soar," said Producing Artistic Director Bari Newport. "We're excited to throw open our doors and invite community members of all ages to consider themselves at home at the theatre this holiday season!"

Joining the company from California to direct and choreograph Oliver! will be Allison Bibicoff, who has earned many credits in the regions and on Broadway (Xanadu). Veteran actor Dominick Varney will play the iconic role of Fagin, who leads a gang of young pickpockets in Victorian London; and Zachary Spreng will make his debut as the title orphan in search of a loving home. The large cast features some of the region's strongest talent, including Kate Adam, Aidan Babbitt, AnDrew Barrett, Brianne Beck, Frank Booker, Emma Campbell, Elena DeSiervo Burns, Neil E. Graham, Molly Hagerty, Anna Kemble, Daniel Kennedy, Grace Livingston Kramer (dance captain), Ben Layman, Annie Leonardi-Merchant, Noam Osher, Zivi Osher, Rebeckah Kay Perry and Alek Sayers.

Music director Phil Burns will bring to life such timeless songs as "As Long as He Needs Me," "Food, Glorious Food," and "Where Is Love," leading seasoned musicians Tom Libby (percussion), Jim Winters (trombone), Carl Ferm (woodwinds) and Lori Wingo (trumpet/French horn).

The show will feature designs by Tricia Hobbs (scenic), Scout Hough (lighting), Kevin Koski (costumes) and Brandie Larkin (sound).

Penobscot Theatre Company will partner with the Bangor Humane Society for the fifth consecutive year to help find homes for dogs in need before each performance. So far, this partnership has helped find homes for 72 dogs.
