Take a trip to the stars! Penobscot Theatre Company has announced the upcoming Dramatic Academy performance of The Little Prince.

Each spring, Tiny Thespian and Youth Troupe students take the main stage to present a family friendly production. A celebration of the 70th anniversary of the beloved classic, actors will bring to life the story of a world-weary aviator whose plane crashes, stranding him in the middle of the Sahara Desert. When a mysterious, regal little boy appears and asks him to draw a sheep, the aviator is annoyed and distracted from his crisis - unaware that he is about to have a transforming experience. By learning that 'what is essential is invisible to the eye,' the aviator comes to a new understanding of how to laugh, cry, and love again. More than twenty young actors will play the roles of flowers, stars, volcanoes, and much more in this poignant and exciting production.

The Little Prince
will feature the following local performers:

Tiny Thespians: Tala and Walker Bayless (Fruit St. School), Sophia Crespo (Bangor Montessori School), and Sophie Baker (Fourteenth St. School), Lydia Drisko (Carmel Elementary School)

Youth Troupe: Jonah (Weatherbee School) and Asa Roberts (McGraw School) , Matthew Tozer (Asa Adams School), Nathan Manaker (Orono Middle School), Ian Buck (All Saints Catholic School), Byron Sockalexis (Indian Island School), Nathan (Mary Snow School) and Sasha Sykes (Abraham Lincoln School), Molly Hagerty (Mary Snow School), Sophia Mullins (Fairmount School), Ethan DeMerchant (Old Town Elementary School), Emma Campbell (LeRoy Smith School), Lana Sabbagh, Anna Loeb (Brewer Community School), Madison Freeman, Paige and Terra Malkow (Reeds Brook Middle School).
