Penobscot Theatre Company presents the world premiere of Travis Baker's award winning new comedy, One Blue Tarp from tonight, January 30 - February 16, in the historic Bangor Opera House.

One Blue Tarp is the story of a man, his tarp and the town that wants to take it away from him. A comedy set in the small, coastal town of Clara, One Blue Tarp centers on the conflict between individual freedom and civic responsibility as well as economic development and time-honored traditions.

This lighthearted examination of home, place, progress, and the way life "should" be was first written and developed for PTC's 2010 Northern Writes New Play Festival; named Best Play for the State of Maine in the 2013 Clauder New England Playwright Competition. Penobscot Theatre Company has been actively working with the Playwright, Travis Baker to develop the script over the last 2 years.
