Come and join the Monmouth Community Players for their first fundraiser costume gala and auction event. This event is being held at Le Club Calumet in Augusta on Friday, October 26th from 6-10pm. The theme of this years gala is 'La Boule Boheme', which is a nod to next seasons musical "Rent" by Jonathan Larson. Those in attendance are invited, and encouraged, to dress up and take part in the evenings costume contest. Prizes will be awarded.

Le Club Calumet is a staple in the Augusta community, and is the perfect venue for this event. It is spacious, centrally located and a large space for an evening full of fun and entertainment. The night will be filled with music, dancing, contests and more! There will also be a photo booth to capture memories, a silent auction as well as a live auction hosted by board member Dan Allard.

Many local businesses have donated generously to the auction, and there are items for everyone to bid on! Most auction items are being posted on MCP's website, with photos for viewing. Just some of the businesses donating to the event: Hope Homes Inc., Freight train Films, Tori Lee Jackson Photography, L/A Community Little Theater, MCP, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Inn, Shire Suds, Ricetta's, Chalky and Company, The Penley House, Longfellows Greenhouse, DR Struck Landscaping, Sand Pond Craft Shop, The Roost B&B, Sparetime Recreation, Kennebec Valley Wellness Spa, LL Bean, G-Force Laser Tag, Monkey C Monkey Do, and more. Some items will be available to the public for bidding via MCP's facebook event, but most items will only be available to bid on at the event itself, through silent or live auction.

Tickets for this event are on sale now through their website at www.monmouthcommunityplayers.org, or by visiting Quiet City books on Lisbon St. in Lewiston. Tickets are $30 per person or $50 per couple, and all proceeds from ticket sales and auction items will be used to support the Monmouth Community Players operating costs.
