Maine State Music Theatre announced today that Mike Egan has joined the Administrative Office Staff as Facilities Manager. As MSMT has continued to acquire more properties, most recently Clancy House on Cedar Street in Brunswick, the need for a full-time staff member dedicated to maintenance of these properties became apparent.

Mike currently resides in Bowdoinham. He previously worked at Bath Iron Works for 23 years, going on to run his own company, Egan and Sons, for 6 years.

In his new role, Mike will use his background to streamline MSMT's current building maintenance habits, focusing primarily on cost-effective practices and less dependence on outside contractors. For example, Mike will now take on snow removal for all three of the company's properties.

MSMT owns two housing properties, used as residences for actors and technicians during the summer season, which is then rented for supplemental income throughout the remainder of the year. Additionally, MSMT owns their building at 22 Elm Street, the year-round home to the Administrative Offices and Studios.

For 58 years, Maine State Music Theatre has brought first class Broadway-quality theatre to the picturesque town of Brunswick. The theatre, contracted with the Actors' Equity Association's Council of Resident Stock Theatres (CORST), produces four main stage musicals, two children's musicals, and three special concert events each summer at the Pickard Theater on the beautiful campus of Bowdoin College.
