Come along with Aladdin as he journeys to the Cave of Treasures to find the magic lamp... and the Genie who lives inside! With book, lyrics and music by Marc Robin and Curt Dale Clark, this enchanting tale follows Aladdin, a poor street urchin who desperately wants to be a prince so he can marry the beautiful Princess Zenovia. In this zany version of the time honored tale, directed by Ray Dumont and assistant directed by administration intern Jenna Adamek, you'll meet a very helpful pet monkey, the evil wizard Malaki who wants to rule the land, and a fast-talking female genie who bestows three important wishes - and lots of comical commentary.

Performance intern Mary Lauter will be playing the role of Aladdin. A current student at the Boston Consrvatory, Lauter has dazzled MSMT audiences this season with his dancing in Fiddler on the Roof, Mamma Mia! and Evita. Aladdin's friendly pet chimpanzee will be played by performance intern Katie Whittemore, who has tackled roles including Belle in Beauty in the Beast, Elle Woods in Legally Blonde, and is a student at the University of Central Florida. Performance intern Megan Flynn will be stepping into the role of the magical Genie. Flynn is a rising junior at Elon University in North Carolina where she is studying music theatre.

Performance interns Kyle Laing, Alex Drost, Giovanni DiGabriele, Haley Ostir and Berkley Jones also star in this interactive show in addition to Maine locals Ali Sarnacchiaro and Taylor Gervais. This production of Aladdin has been entirely created and produced by the 2016 intern company at MSMT.
