MSMT Closes Diamond Jubilee Season With SINGIN' IN THE RAIN ImageMaine State Music Theatre closes its 60th Anniversary season with the smash hit, Singin' in the Rain. This classic hit runs from August 8-25.

Singin' in the Rainhas all the makings of a Tinseltown tabloid headline - the starlet, the leading man and a love affair that could change lives and make or break careers! In silent movies, Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are a hot item but, behind the scenes, things aren't always as they appear on the big screen! Meanwhile, Lina's squeaky voice might be the end of her career in "talking pictures" without the help of a talented young actress to do the talking and singing for her. The stage spectacle of the "Greatest Movie Musical of All Time" - faithfully and lovingly adapted by Broadway legends, Betty Comden and Adolph Green - includes unforgettable dance numbers and the songs "Broadway Melody," "Make Em' Laugh," "Good Morning," and the show-stopping title number. What's more, it will truly rain on the Pickard stage!

The principal cast includes Nicolas Dromard as Don Lockwood, Brian Shepard as Cosmo Brown, Kate Fahrner as Kathy Selden, Kim Sava as Lina Lamont, David Girolmo as R.F. Simpson, and Andy Kindig as Roscoe Dexter.

The ensemble rounds out the cast with David Scott Purdy as the Production tenor, Charis Leos as Dora Bailey/Diction Coach, Drew Carr as Rod, Reagan Danel Ogle as Zelda Zanders, Kelly Liz Bolick, Michael Peter Deeb, Dan Bob Higgins, Jesse Lawyer, Buddy Reeder, Matty Rickard, Alex Eisenberg, Rebecah Rene Kelley, Carissa Gaughran, Mallory King, Ryan Lambert, Matthew Marvin, Elisbeth Christie, Stevie Ann Mack, Lauren McDonald, Melaina Corey Rairamo, Caleb James Grochalski, Jake Hartman, Michael Olaribigbe, and Alec Duffy Talbott.

Maine State Music Theatre's 2018 Season is sponsored by Highland Green and OceanView at Falmouth. Singin' in the Rainis brought to you by Key Bank, Wicked Joe Organic Coffee, and Hammond Lumber Company.
