Good Theater is proud to bring back Shear Madness for another extended run beginning January 10 and continuing for nine weeks through March 11. Shear Madness proved to be the best selling show in Good Theater's history during its original run in 2016.

Shear Madness is the longest running play in the USA. It has been running in Boston for 38 years and in Washing DC for 29 years. The show has also had long runs in Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco and many other cities around the country and around the world.
This unique comedy-whodunit takes place today in the "Shear Madness" hairstyling salon and is chock full of up-to-the-minute spontaneous humor. During the course of the action, a murder is committed and the audience gets to spot the clues, question the suspects, and solve the funniest mystery in the annals of crime. The outcome is never the same, which is why many audience members return again and again to the scene of the mayhem.
Voted "Best Comedy of the Year" seven times by the Boston Globe and recipient of the title "Best Play of the Year" by both the Chicago Sun-Times and the Philadelphia Enquirer, Shear Madness has also received the Raven Award from the Mystery Writers of America and has been inducted into the Comedy Hall of Fame, the first play ever to receive that accolade. Shear Madness is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest running play in the history of the USA.
The Good Theater production of Shear Madness stars Timothy Goodwin, a veteran of many Shear Madness productions, as Nick O'Brien the police detective; Joe Bearor as Tony Whitcomb the hairdresser; Kathleen Kimball A. Barbara Demarco, another hairdresser; Laura Houck as wealthy socialite, Mrs. Shubert; Paul Drinan as the businessman, Eddie Lawrence: and Conor Riordan Martin as the second detective, Mikey Thomas. Five of the actors starred in Shear Madness the last time it played Good Theater. Joe Bearor is the newcomer to the cast and brings an entirely different take to his character adding to the fun and the mayhem.
