Waterville, Maine -The Waterville Opera House (WOH) is proud to present a magical musical tale - Disney's The Little Mermaid the Musical - March 31st through April 9th at the Waterville Opera House in downtown Waterville. Featuring a local cast of more than 30 performers, including an adorable children's sea puppet ensemble, the revival of the classic Disney production will be sure to charm the entire family.
The curtain rises on Ariel, a beautiful young mermaid, who longs to explore the wonders above the ocean. When a ship piloted by the handsome Prince Eric passes nearby, Ariel falls instantly in love. Not until she makes a deal with her Aunt, the wicked sea witch Ursula, can Ariel make her dreams of going on land come true-but at a price: her enchanting voice. Will she get her voice back? Will she find true love on the dry land? Come see the quirky adventures under the sea and experience the magic of love and song as never before!
Disney's The Little Mermaid the Musical has been nominated for over 10 awards including the Tony Awards' Best Original Score, and will have you singing along with Ariel, Flouder, Scuttle, Sebastian and all your favorite Little Mermaid characters to songs like "Kiss The Girl", "Under the Sea", and "Part of Your World". You know and love these songs by Oscar-winning American musical theatre and film score composer Alan Menken!
