Brendan Powers of Penobscot's AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY to Teach Master Class, 5/16

Brendan Powers who is currently starring in Penobscot Theatre Company's production of August: Osage County will be teaching a master class at the Bangor Opera House on May 16, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. "Selling the Scene: Keys to a Compelling Performance" has been designed to engage participants in actively working on scenes with insight and guidance from Powers, a veteran performer and master instructor. It is appropriate for adults and high school students. The cost is $25.

Powers, a member of the Actors' Equity Association, appeared previously in Penobscot Theatre Company's productions of Annie (Daddy Warbucks) and Our Town (Stage Manager). He has served for several years as a company member with the Florida Repertory Theatre in Fort Myers. Other stage credits include the Tony Award-winning play, Art, and The Big Knife, both with Alec Baldwin; the Noel Coward revue Oh, Coward! at Off-Broadway's Irish Repertory Theatre; and he has appeared on television as FBI agent Rick Cranston on Graceland (USA Network), and David Weller in the Netflix original series, Bloodline, starring Sissy Spacek and Sam Shepard.
