The hilarious futuristic comedy WE WILL ROCK YOU shakes up the Barn stage July 11 - 23. Based on hit songs by the British rock group Queen, prepare to be thoroughly rocked in this magnifico-o-o- o-o- musical fantasy!

WE WILL ROCK YOU tells the story of a group of Bohemians who struggle to restore the free exchange of thought, fashion, and live music in a distant future where globalization is complete and everyone dresses, thinks and acts the same. Musical instruments and composers are forbidden, and rock music is all but unknown. It's up to a young Galileo, (played by 2nd year apprentice Quinn Moran), who hears in his head the ancient words and melodies from the past, and the cynical yet lovable Scaramouche, (played by Barn favorite Samantha Rickard), to take back the music from the evil globalist corporation, Globalsoft.

Ruling the corporation is the Killer Queen, (portrayed by Barn leading lady Penelope Alex), with the help of her very Orwellian police force, headed by Khashoggi (Barn favorite Eric Parker.) Will the Bohemians overcome the Killer Queen's vice grip over the iPlanet? Featuring many of Queen's greatest hits including Play the Game, Somebody to Love, Killer Queen, Bohemian Rhapsody and the title track. Experience the music of Queen in a majestically, mad musical!

Having been played in 17 countries and on 6 continents, WE WILL ROCK YOU has seen 12 years of consistent West End performances, and has garnered 14 awards, including the Laurence Olivier Award for Most Popular Show in 2011.

Although the project was workshopped in the mid-90s, it wasn't until 2000 that Brian May and Roger Taylor of Queen sat down with Ben Elton to construct an original story. The three felt that this interpretation of the songs played perfect homage to the source of the material and the father of theatrical rock: the late, great Freddie Mercury.

Performances for WE WILL ROCK YOU are Tuesday - Saturday at 8:00 pm and Sunday at 5:00 pm

July 11 - 23.

WE WILL ROCK YOU is sponsored by Forensic Fluids. American Sign Language interpreted performance on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 sponsored by Eaton.
