For years now, audience members have been asking John DeMain to present the Symphony in an all-orchestral program, so that we can enjoy the fruits of his tenure, and experience what John W. Barker described for Isthmus: "...a performance of overwhelming passion, sweep and power...the MSO played like a big league orchestra."
DeMain has chosen three expressive masterworks to inaugurate his 20th Anniversary Season, from the simple gifts of Coplands Appalachian Spring Suite to the majesty of Wagner's Tristan und Isolde and the exotic beauty of Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade.
