Playhouse Gallery Exhibit, Prelude Performance To Honor Veterans ImageOverture Center for the Arts is proud to partner with In Good Company in honoring Veterans Day 2019 with a special Playhouse Gallery exhibit, "Veteran Print Project: The Transience of Narrative," and performance of "Ajax," which is supported by the center's Prelude program.

"Being a part of this project has been incredible. It exemplifies collaborative storytelling by joining veterans with printmakers to exhibit work that reflects the profundity of the veteran experience," said Yvette Pino, coordinator of the exhibition. "We created a living record of veteran experiences and perspectives through historical narrative and artistic interpretation. Veteran participants were matched with local printmakers whose tasks were to artistically interpret the veteran experiences and perspectives. Through this work we attempt to create a better and more honest understanding of our world, to expose contradictions, to awaken our communities and to pursue a body of work that is not solely viewed as therapy."
