Overture Center for the Arts and President and CEO Sandra Gajic announced today the appointment of Christopher L. Vogel, CPA, as chief financial officer.
Vogel has served as finance manager for Overture Center since 2016. In this job he manages and oversees the daily operations of the finance department including account maintenance, forecasting, budgeting, cash management and related financial analysis.
Christopher is a seasoned executive with an impressive background in finance who will smoothly transition into his new position, Gajic said.
As Overtures CFO, Christophers expertise will help the performing arts center develop and achieve its financial goals. In addition, his genuine passion for theater and music make him an ideal choice in our ongoing mission to elevate our communitys creative culture, economy and quality of life through the arts.
Prior to Overture, Vogel was a senior manager at Smith & Gesteland, LLP in Middleton, Wis., a longtime financial practice where for nine years he assisted clients and partners with complex businesses processes, presented audited financial statements and findings to company executives and trained and mentored associates and interns. He also worked for seven years as a senior audit and tax associate at Grant Thornton, LLP in Madison.
Vogel has a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
