AVENUE Q Moves Into The Armory This Summer

Professional theatre has returned to The Armory in downtown Janesville and audiences are laughing their you-know-whats off and rolling in the aisles. Why? Avenue Q has moved into The Armory for a limited time!

Produced by Armory alum Brett J. Frazier, Avenue Q is the laugh out loud musical that uses muppet-style puppets, animated by unconcealed puppeteers, alongside human actors to tell the all too familiar story of a recent college grad named Princeton. Princeton moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q where he meets Kate (the girl next door), Rod (the Republican), Trekkie (the internet sexpert), and other colorful types who help Princeton try to find his purpose in life.

Avenue Q is great for adults of all ages and even young adults because it's about real life. It's not appropriate for young children because Avenue Q addresses issues like sex, drinking, and surfing the web for...you know. Parents should use their discretion based on the maturity level of their children.

Evening show dates and times are July 29th and 30th , and August 5th , 12th , and 13th at 7:30pm. Cocktails begin at 6:00pm, and dinner at 6:30pm. Sunday matinee shows are July 31st and August 14th with brunch beginning at 11:30am and the show beginning at 1:00pm. Dinner guests should arrive no later than one hour before the listed show time. Guests purchasing show-only tickets should arrive no later than 15 minutes prior to show time.

The Armory is located at 10 S. High St. in Janesville.

Tickets include a plated dinner catered by Best Events, or they may be purchased for the performance alone. They are available on www.janesvillearmory.com, or by visiting the Best Events Showroom located at 2030 Center Ave in Janesville. Tickets are $20.00 for the show only, or $49.00 for the show and salad, waited dinner with your choice of prime rib, bacon wrapped chicken or salmon, and dessert course. There will also be brunch offered during Sunday matinees.
