Disney's Newsies at The Kentucky Center

For the first time since its national tour in 2014 the smash hit Disney Musical Newsies is coming to The Kentucky Centers, Whitney Hall! In November of last year the Floyd Central High School Theatre department put on a pilot production of the show to raving reviews having an sold out 6 show run as well as earning the distinct honor to perform at the International Thespian Festival in Lincoln Nebraska in late June, one of only 11 schools doing so and 5 to perform at Nebraskas well known Leid Center in front of thousands of high school theatre groups across the nation. However before Newsies is on the road across the states, Floyd Central is seizing the day one more time. Get ready to follow the underdogs story of Jack Kelly and Davey Jacobs (Mitchell Lewis, Jordan Burger) as alongside spunky reporter Katherine Plumber (Caroline Siegrist) and the rest of the newsies of New York they prepare to take on the kingpin Joseph Pullitzer (Ryland Sparkman) and show the world just what a bunch of ragtag orphans can do.
