Two houses have been flattened, and a Wolf has been prowling the neighborhood. But is the cause of the trouble as clear as it seems? And can we count on hard-boiled detective Humpty Dumpty to, uh, crack the case?
Walden Theatre is excited to present Law & Order: Fairy Tale Unit by Jonathan Rand. This funny play is a mash-up of the Law & Order television show's conventions (think: Chuh-chunk!) and a full slate of oddball characters and twisted situations based on children's stories. Audiences of all ages will be delighted by this funny, surprising take on classic tales that transport us back to childhood.
There will be five weekends of Law & Order: Fairy Tale Unit during this summer, and each weekend's shows will be performed by a different group of students attending Walden Theatre's Summer Academy. The Summer Academy is a three-week theatre camp for young people ages 8-13 in which participants work under the direction and attention of Walden Theatre instructors.
Last year's Summer Academy production featured Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, adapted by playwright (and Walden alumna) Diana Grisanti from the ever-popular book by Lewis Carroll.
