It's definitely Le Jazz Hot on the Pandora stage this March as we present VICTOR/VICTORIA. First a movie, then a stage show, Pandora Productions is proud to bring this spectacular and ambitious show to our stage for the first time. The production features many veterans of the Pandora stage but also is proud to debut many new faces.
This stunning production's book is by Blake Edwards, music by Henry Mancini & Frank Wildhorn, Lyrics by Leslie Bricusse & Frank Wildhorn
On the verge of starvation in 1930s Paris, erstwhile entertainer Victoria is rescued by gay cabaret performer Toddy. What she needs to succeed, opines Toddy, is a gimmick. What if she becomes a male impersonator? Better still: what if she becomes a male impersonator, pretending to be a female impersonator? As Victor/Victoria, s/he becomes the toast of Paree, and an object of fascination for big-time Chicago gangster King Marchan, who can't quite understand the teasing sensations he experiences whenever watching her in action-especially since he, like everyone else, assumes that she is a he.
Sponsored by Best Blind & Shade Co.,VICTOR/VICTORIA is being directed by guest Jimmy Bohr, with Musical Direction by Phillip Morgan and Choreography by Frank Goodloe. The principle cast includes: Julie Evins, Brent Gettelfinger, Amanda Kyle Lahti, Michael David Smith and Michael J. Drury.
