This live concert event offers music based on "Take Me To The River," an award-winning full-length documentary film directed and produced by Martin Shore that has grown into a world-wide education initiative and national music tour.
This celebration of authentic New Orleans music features the talent of Ivan and Ian Neville, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, George Porter Jr., Big Chief Monk Boudreaux, Lost Bayou Ramblers Duo, 79ers Gang, and Terrence Higgins.
These artists will chart the musical evolution of the region while exploring the unique influence of New Orleans music. Audience members will learn about The Big Easy's musical history and heritage while enjoying collaborative performances from musicians who call the city home.
